Traditional phulkari embroidery is done on fabric called 'khaddar' which is manually spun and naturally dyed. The weave makes it easy to run the thread to it, in order to make the intricate designs. The thread that is used for the embroidery is called 'pat' in Punjabi.
Every piece is unique ~ not one can be repeated! Can be see through depending on thickness of fabric 🌸
The beauty of what is handmade is found in it's imperfections. All our garments are handmade, their small imperfections can not be considered defects 🌼
